Talk about fast service and generous portions of delicious food! My fiancée and I decided to stop by this fantastic breakfast spot based on glowing recommendations from family and friends during our trip to Solvang--and it did not disappoint. The pancakes were a delightful surprise! Unlike the usual fluffy ones, they were thin yet packed with incredible flavor, making them a unique and memorable treat. The portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend trying their lattes and coffee--they were absolutely spot-on and the perfect complement to the meal. This place is a true gem and a winning choice for breakfast in Solvang. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!
Paula' Pancake house did not disappoint. Had a home cooked feeling to it. Dog Friendly! Inside and outdoor seating. Prompt service. Had the Danish pancakes with fruit: yummy! Eggs were really good. The pups has some sausage patties and they were not disappointed. Located right on the main street so if you like people watching the outside patio is for you. Had a good experience and I would return if ever in the area.
We came around 10:45 am but their waitlist wasn't going to open up until 12 again. We came back and we were seated in about 10 minutes. The servers were really nice but just really busy. I got the danish pancake combo. They were good but nothing too special. It's just a flat pancake. I was expecting there to be crispy edges. The danish sausage was good and flavorful. It does get pretty packed so I think it's best to get the first available seating. This place is pretty average but still good!
Paula's pancake house is good... Located on the Main street in Solvang next to the brewery and Danish bakery you will find Paula's pancake house. We arrived about an hour before they closed so we were seated right away. I was glad we didn't have to wait around since it is always crowded. So lucky for us. Food: 4/5 The food was simple and the apple pancakes were delicious not greasy or too heavy just right. I had the egg whites cause balance and some coffee that was pretty delicious. I just didn't feel it was something that was worth 5 stars it was a little over your typical breakfast place. Service: 5/5 they were closing up and seemed like they were on a mission. They didn't rush us but were straight to the point. They were dressed in Danish outfits so that was pretty cool. We had our doggos and we got them sausages and they brought a water bowl so super doggo friendly. Prices : are just one $ sign. Good prices for a good deal of food. Parking: Plenty of parking out on the main street. There are only two breakfast spots on this main street so Paula gets all the love from the people. I will keep coming to Paula's when in the area..TBC
Food was delicious! Do get there early (6am-7am) or you will be out on a wait list. We had a party of 5 and had to wait 45 minutes at 8:30am. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Lots of inside and outside seating but it was a tad cold so we opted for inside. A must visit for anyone who has never been to this nice little town.
Came here for brunch. The spot is a perfect little spot on the Main Street. Love the vibes and ambiance of the location. The customer service was perfect. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Ordered their famous danish pancake combo with hash browns and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were amazing. 5 star for sure. Don't let the thin size fool you. They are packed with flavor, and stay warm and yummy. The eggs and hash browns were also good. I will be coming back to here on my next trip.
Nothing STACKS up to Paula's Pancakes, and I'll stand by that! Was recommended this spot by a coworker who SWORE the pancakes were so good that she can't eat them anywhere else, and I highly agree. They specialize in danish breakfast, and as their name suggests, their beautifully thin and airy pancakes topped with their fresh, housemade cream is a must order. I opted for the Danish pancake combination (priced VERY affordably at $16 without add-ons), which also comes with 2 eggs and your choice of bacon or their signature Danish sausage, which is also a must-order and one of the BEST I've ever had. We were originally quoted a 50 minute wait that ended up being less than 15 minutes, and I highly recommend sticking it out for one of the BEST breakfasts I've ever had!
If you are in Solvang, Paula's Pancake House is one of the most popular dining options in the city! We had a mishap with our transportation leaving Solvang on a Sunday morning so we got to Paula's a little before 7am when it opens. We weren't really waiting in line but right before 7 am, people came out of every direction and there was a huge line that formed. It was very chilly outside being November so we got seated first and right inside by a window. There was two couples for our party of 4 and both couples split the danish pancakes with warm apples on top and a danish sausage and it since it was a combo it came with a couple eggs. The scrambled eggs were not good at all but that wasn't the reason we came. The danish pancakes were incredible and thin and just super tasty! I loved the warm apples on top, I wish we had ordered the whipped cream on top as well, if you do its an extra charge. The danish sausage wasn't as good as the other breakfast spot we tried but decent enough. We also ended up ordering a fresh squeezed orange juice mimosa and that was sooo good because the juice was so fresh! The service was decent, they kept refilling our coffees and food came out really quick. The bathrooms are small but there are two of them. The dining is both inside and patio seating outdoors as well. By the time we left the place a little after 8 am, the entire restaurant was filled inside and outdoors! If you don't want as long of a wait, come early!
This is one of the places to try while in Solvang! We got there around 8:15/8:30 and there was already a line of people waiting. No worries, there are two stores next door to rummage through while waiting for your name to be called. After about 30 mins we were seated inside. There are only two bathrooms and the line to wait for it is over by the entrance with one person waiting for the bathroom by the doors. I got the turkey sausage with two eggs, hash browns, a bit of fruit and a Sourdough English Muffin instead of normal toast ($15.95). The turkey sausage was just okay - I don't know why I didn't go for the Danish-Style Sausage! My husband got their Danish Combo which comes with Danish pancakes topped with blueberries with their sausage and two eggs ($17.25). His sausage was really good - Juicy and full of flavor, I was jealous. Their pancakes were thin and light, not too sweet. Very good. Their service is really good too - Our waiter kept coming checking in on us which was nice and would fill up our water glasses. The only thing I didn't like were the flies by the window - About three of them all around us while we ate.
A group of 6 of us arrived at 10:30 am on a Sunday. We requested a table inside and were told the wait was about 45 mins. In the meantime we checked out the bakery next door for some coffee and a pastry. We were seated right at 11:08 am. The table got different types of egg Benedict's or pancake specials. Everyone rated their meal a 5/5. Portions were huge. Food came out of the kitchen warm and fast. I had the la cakes and they were light, fluffy, and the syrup was not too sweet.
